I managed to build out a basic assembly factory, with Planters (for Plant Matter, Seeds, and Resources) connected to Threshers, etc. I assume you have already unlocked the threshers and planters, if not you need to bring a crank generator to the old factory to unlock the thresher, planter I forget where.
